[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had Z Fold series ever since they first came out. My last Fold was the 6 series, great product, great size but heavy with a case. I chose the Fold Ultra 8 for my newer version, and it is a wonderful product. It has the same basic features as the 6, but with great improvements. The phone is thinner, lighter, has a bigger screen, and new features. I have enjoyed working more with Gemini to accomplish a few tasks quicker and can't wait to spend a little more time exploring. There are some new features with photos, circle and search, and many AI features. I highly recommend any Z series Fold, but especially the Ultra 8.

But be aware of the inner screen display where if you close the phone the borders of the phone does not protect the inner screen rather the inner screen touches each other so any kind of debris will cause the inner screen to break. You might also find that the touch response is not that great as the bar phones of the ultra. I just love the size, Samsung needs to work on this phone factor and make it perfect. Display quality is great but sometimes or most of the times it reduces the brightness I do not know for whatever reason it might be. And battery life it is okay for now goes through the day but you need to recharge it twice a day.

They have lessened the crease, put better cameras in and it comes with the latest android software. I have been a Fold user since the Fold 3 and I don't see myself going back. I use the multitasking split screen feature almost everyday. The phone is buttery smooth and feels like a normal candy bar phone when Folded. I am really enjoying my experience with this phone and I'm still learning how to take and edit pictures in a more creative way. The new edit feature that allows you to edit photos and video along with the new filters allow you to create some really cool looking media.

​As a 4-year foldable user upgrading from the Z Fold 4, the Z Fold 8 Ultra is fantastic! The phone-to-tablet versatility, camera clarity, and using the cover screen to get my kids to actually look at the camera for group photos make it irreplaceable. Coming from the Z Fold 4, my biggest worry was the hinge. After about 2 years of use on my Z Fold 4, dust buildup cause it no longer unfold completely flat. The new Flex Titanium teardrop hinge design on the Fold 8 Ultra feels fundamentally sturdier, but time will be the real test. Given the price point and moving parts, Samsung really should include a specialized multi-year foldable hinge/display warranty out of the box instead of treating it like a standard phone. That said, as a long-time foldable user, I know I am going to enjoy my new Z fold 8 Ultra.

My Fold 6 had a noticeably less prominent crease than previous versions, and the Fold 8 feels even more durable and refined in that area. Performance is another major improvement. The internal storage is extremely fast, making streaming, downloading, and everyday multitasking feel seamless. The dual-screen functionality is especially useful for productivity on the go. I’ve taken work trips where I barely needed to open my laptop because my phone handled nearly everything I needed to get done. Switched from my Z fold 6 and the phone works excellent. Having the new cameras with improved quality and a more durable inner screen makes a difference. Plus the crease is nearly gone when I touch or look directly into it. The processor is also more responsive than I expected which is worth it when I need to execute tasks. I am however wanting to have the S-Pen functionality back as that would make the inner screen a much more better performance in my daily needs such as sketching/drawing.

This is my first fold coming from the so called slab phone the s25 ultra. I have to say it grows on you as you use it. I chose this version as it's mainly for my work and multitasking capabilities. I like that unfolded it has two 5.5 inch screens. I do however, wish that there was an s-pen and they would do two 6.5 inch screens to live up to the ultra name. However, all in all my productivity has increased, for my work I have to review a lot of work and research so reading and multitasking is bar none the best I experienced on a phone. I hope they can add the 3 horizontal windows from the regular fold 8. Make sure you research a good case the phone is fragile compared to the slab phones. The battery has been impressive so far and lasts me almost the full day, we'll see in the long run. Responsiveness is good too.

Removing the ability to hide the camera hole from the display when the phone is open honestly made me consider returning the device. It was such a poor choice in change from previous models. The recent updates to the UI, changing it to act as a tablet, have degraded the user experience further. The device is honestly a little too thin in my opinion as well. The buttons are placed better than folds from some other companies though, and the lack of visible crease is a nice improvement over previous generations. Overall a very mid phone for the price.

It is super thin and light, just like a regular phone when closed, great tablet screen (no crease so far), powerful multitasking with top performance, and two-day battery life. The phone is also water resistance and has a pretty good set of cameras. Loving it so far!! What an upgrade from my old Galaxy S23 Ultra!!

I just got this a few days ago but playing around and tweaking everything I'm quite happy with it went from s25 to this phone and it feels much more premium the camera looks better and it's just a great experience with the multiple screens the ability to change DPI within the regular menu would be a nice win overall but I've had a lot of fun tweaking and playing around with that overall quite happy with this phone

I received my new phone in the mail ahead of schedule and switching everything from my old Fold 6 was so easy. As for the phone, this upgrade is incredible. The Fold 8 Ultra and as wide when folded as my Fold 6 is unfolded. It's noticeably faster when I'm playing games or loading pictures and videos or using AI editing, so lightweight, and picture quality is an impressive jump in quality. I chose the Fold line for my phone since the Fold 3 and can't imagine going back to standard phones ever again.

My god was I wrong. The phone has gone so thin that when folded it is the same thickness as a single screen of the fold 4. I chose the fold specifically for multitasking purposes for work on top of all the gaming, video surfing, and reading manhwas. I've been on the Z Fold train since the Z Fold 6 and then I ended up with the Z Fold 7, and now I have the Z Fold 8 ultra which I'm stoked about. But I'm extremely extremely disappointed that the Z Fold 7 and the Z Fold 8 ultra do not have S.Pen compatibility, that's my biggest complaint that I have and really my only complaint that I have. I'm insanely disappointed that the Z Fold 8 does not have the S.Pen support, and I'm praying that you guys will bring it back and I want an internal spot to store the s.Pen and the Z fold will be complete in my opinion.

The subtle angling Samsung added to the exterior makes it much easier to open. No more needing to dig your fingernails in the middle of the phone! The “Seriously, Samsung?” Moment My only real complaint: it didn’t come with a charger. Just the cable. Samsung, my love… how am I supposed to charge my spaceship without the docking station?
