Great phone. I love the design very sleek and appears to be dirable. Fine material and gived very nice finished look. Battery appears good and overall performance is great. Hinge looks durable. I love the brightness on both screens. Responsiveness is great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This device is amazing! As an artist, the bigger screen on the Z Fold8 gives me a better image viewing experience. It's perfect for reference photos, something I didn't get from my old phones. Being able to unfold it to watch movies and shows is also really cool. The visuals are great quality. The screen crease is barely noticeable, and the little bit that's there doesn't bother me. It also has great audio, even on the lowest setting. The Z Fold8 fits well in my hand. I'm super comfortable with its weight – not too heavy, not too light, just right. I'm so glad I chose the Galaxy Z Fold8!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I pre ordered the Galaxy fold 8. I used it for around a week. The phone is great and the fold crease has diminished substantially. The screen quality was amazing and I was surprised by how long the battery lasted. I ended up returning it due to being worried of damaging it and being slightly paranoid about it not being dust resistant or having the inner screen get damaged accidentally. I say its almost there because it is "almost there." The phone is great but not having the best cameras is a big fault in a 1800 dollar phone. None the less I'm sure it will be a great phone for most people. The chose the Ultra 26 as a replacement and am more than happy!

Battery - 4/5 Havent used it long enough but i could definitely tell that the new silicon carbon battery is making a huge difference Display - 5/5 Solid display. Nice viewing angles and the display is very readable outside. 120hz especially on the front screen is buttery smooth. Performance - Everything is smooth the animations are not luckluster. Using the new One UI 9.0 reminds me of the time when I first got to use One UI from the Note 10+ (also 4.1 and 7.0 are my favorite iterations)

The flip felt too small and I have been an Ultra girl since the note series. This phone ferls great in my hand. It feels like a mini book or even like a compact mirror. The screen is responsive. Flips through pages quickly. The colors of my videos, pictures and movies look stunning. I think the sound is louder than my S23 Ultra. My daughter complained it was too loud but not for me, lol. It's a great little phone and I can't wait until I can customize it even more. It's beautiful and sleek. I love the fingerprint sensor on the side. It responds quickly to unlock.

This is the perfect phone. The overall size is perfect. The form factor is awesome. It fits nicely in my pocket. I do most tasks on the front screen and open it up when I want to watch videos

It's wonderfully compact when folded, but unfolding it into a mini tablet completely changes the experience. Videos look fantastic on the inner display, and the anti-reflective screen coating makes a massive difference for visibility. The upgraded faster charging is a welcome quality-of-life improvement, and the cameras are completely sufficient for everyday photos. Most of all, it brought back that genuine sense of excitement for mobile technology that smartphones have lacked for a long time.

When opened the screen is amazing! Watching Netflix and YouTube on this is seriously impressive. When I want to play games I open it up and now I have a tablet, it really blew my expectations out of the water. I really like that the finger print reader is in the power button it makes more sense to have it there. This phone is way louder than my s26 was. The compact size of this phone when closed should be the new standard, it just feels more natural. I dont see myself ever going back to a candy bar shaped phone ever again.

I am very enthusiastic about acquiring this phone; it is an exceptional device that perfectly aligns with my daily needs.

It is the ultimate daily driver. I use my phone alot to watch movies, YouTube videos, and for reading. Reading on this phone is so comfortable on both the inner and outer displays. I find that in using the inner display alot more than I did on my previous fold because the new dimensions make it feel so much better in my small hands Also, the phone is just beautiful. I love that videos take up the whole screen on the outer display and the brightness on this phone makes everything look sharper.

I ended up returning the Razr for software alone. One UI is incredible and the Z Fold 8 is like having 3 devices in one. I rarely take photos but it's strange Samsung purposely set up a gen 2 with upgraded cameras. Keep us loyal at the onset! This device is amazingly light, strong, last long, has amazing screens, so easy and fun to use. Finally a phone is fun again! I got so sick and bored of the slabs and remote style. This for. Factor is perfect! Love it. So glad I chose to try this out, keeping it until gen 2.

The phone is the exact size of a Travel passport albeit a few mm thicker. I can hold the phone in my back pocket without it sticking out. I like that I can do most of my tasks using the apps on the cover screen because of the larger size. The rest of the phone features are what Samsung is known for. As for any negatives, I have owned previous Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Fold phones versions and have had cover screen and screen issues. Hopefully Samsung has figured out to avoid the problem in it's 8th version of the phones.

The single screen is sufficient for me to do a lot of work without needing to open the full screen size. Of course the double screen helps when working on my VM machine. Only flaw is that the single screen you are unable to control the viewing dimensions, so for reading and older people like me, this becomes a slight issue. Of course you can open the double screen and that would solve it. So small flaw in the UX. Regardless, I would still recommend the phone. Good speed, sharp and clear images and certainly feels robust enough to handle someone rough like me.

I am very happy with the form factor. I am coming from a Fold 6 which I found to be too narrow when folded. The added width makes it easier for me to type on the keyboard. The shorter height makes it easy to reach the top and bottom of the screen when folded. There is less wasted space when watching videos unfolded. I think my ideal phone would be this form factor with better cameras. I am noticing some third party apps not accommodating the screen resolution properly but assume things will improve over time. The battery so far seems good. It is lasting longer than my Fold 6 probably due to a combination of larger battery size and degradation in my old phone.

I've been enjoying my Z Fold 8 the past couple of weeks. The form factor was especially appealing to me and it doesn't disappoint. The camera has its limitations, however I can still take perfectly acceptable snapshots. If I was creating content I would suggest the 8 ultra. Have had no problems with the battery life so far. This is my first foldable and I've been impressed with both screens. It's the first time in recent memory I've been excited with my new phone.

This phone redefines the concept of having a tablet in your pocket. I work in the IT field which means I handle a lot of documents and spreadsheets daily. I now only carry this device and nothing else. The battery actually lasts longer than my 26 Ultra which still blows my mind. The cameras are more then adequate for your everyday needs! If you get the chance go get this phone in your hand, you will be leaving the store with it. Oh and make sure you get a watch too you're going to want that ☺️

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the new Fold 8 to try the new size, but I am disappointed by the losses on the camera quality starting around 20ft away. In addition, the half folds (L shape) or tent fold (A Shape), don't seem to work that well. It actually measure up well next to my Fold 3, so I turn it long ways to type better, as the wide screen makes the keyboard too long for me. I also miss the full size of the cover screen. It severely displaced my home screen and spit the icons up weirdly over the other panels. Like the left over icons from panel 1, didn't simply get pushed to panel 2? I want to see if I can switch to the Fold 8 Ultra.

I received this on Aug 3 from the store. I am amazed at what this device can do. Multi tasking and social media on this device is amazing and feels butter smooth. The new silicon battery lasts much longer than previous generations and easily lasts a day for even a heavy user. Charging th3 device is also much quicker now and given the reliability of the fold 7, this new hinge mechanism is only gonna last longer. This is the best of both worlds for someone confused between the flip or the ultra.

It was remarkably easy to set up and transfer from my old device. I think the new passport size and shape is awesome. Despite my success with Flip, I decided to move to Fold this year. Any concerns I had with sacrificing convenient size (comfortable in my pocket) are gone with the Z Fold 8! Convenient size for everyday, expensive functionality when open. Easier to read, able to complete formal work documents (like a small laptop), clear picture, great sound...and this is after a week. Still exploring what i can do with this. Absolutely over the top satisfaction with the Z Fold 8!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Fold 8 for the screen, and multi window is what makes it a multimedia beast. I'll have a game running on the bottom half while YouTube plays up top and messages come in alongside it — three things at once, all usable, no swapping back and forth. Unfolded it's big enough that I've stopped reaching for a tablet for movies and shows, and the colors hold up in a dark room or outside. The speakers are louder and fuller than I expected from something this thin, and the fold itself feels solid in hand. Folded, it's still just a normal phone for music and podcasts on the go. One device that covers all of it.

Had it since the pre order date and not disappointed. The phone is full to use and response well. The only downside which is anticipated is the app compatibility in terms of screen size. Love the solid flod function, it doesnt feel flimsy. Battery life is good enough for daily use for me. Watching Kdrama on a big screen is a treat. Speaker is kind of muffled and not as loud and clear as S24 or flip 7 which i owned in the past. Highly recommended nonetheless!

When this passport style form factor each announced, I was skeptical. Once I saw it on person, and held it in my hands and I knew I had to have it. I chose the Z Fold 8 in lavender, which is a gorgeous color. I love this phone's versatility. Streaming, scrolling, typing, multitasking. This phone does it all well. I love both displays, the colors are vibrant without feeling oversaturated. The battery life so far is very impressive. I'm looking forward to enjoying this device on daily life as well as traveling.

Hello Samsung. Just wanted to thank y'all for these new Z FOLDS (8 & 8 ULTRA). Based on what i have seen and felt, if i may make ONLY 2 suggestions. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, Make the z fold 9 with the same hinge as the z fold 8 ultra and give it the same camera 200mp. Other than that, I would have boughten the z fold 8 over the 8 ultra due to its size and functionality. I hope this reaches you well and have high hopes for the passport phone (z fold 8) next year. If you make this work....best bet, I WILL be upgrading to this phone for sure as this is what my wife and I really wanted until we found out the hinge, camera, & also battery life. Thanks.

I'm 1 week into my time with the Fold8, and overall I've been very impressed with the screen, battery life and overall performance. The form factor is unique and when unfolded, the inner screen is amazing for watching content or multi-tasking. The price is still steep, the speakers are pretty mediocre, and without a case it does feel a bit fragile, but aside from these caveats: this is the first genuinely exciting foldable device I've used.

Great color for the phone. Improved crease and responsiveness of the phone. Form factor of this phone makes it enjoyable in all ways. Complaints are the audio speaker placements and they need to make an upgraded version with better cameras.

I upgraded from a Zfold 4, the battery life on the Fold8 is so much better, the crease is much improved, and the form factor is so comfortable to use. Reading is great, and watching movies is amazing.

I was worried to buy fold type phone because I heared its weak durability from my friends. But Samsung has developed its durability with strong hinge. Battery is similar to my s24 ultra with higher brightness screen. Touch screen responsiveness is also.good. Im satisfied to its mertitasking performance. But Samsung should adjust speaker position. And I hope bigger main and cover screen to next generation. Overall, it is recommendable.
