Galaxy Z Fold8

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to shake things up a bit and ditch the traditional candy bar phone for a short and stubby passport style foldable. It's been 3 days and I'm loving all the tweaks and customization available in the new operating system I wish that the phone had different camera placement and included a telephoto lens. I miss the old version of the inner display's selfie camera. A tad intrusive and I don't see any use case. The speaker placement could also be better next iteration because it does not provide stereo sound when in landscape viewing on the inner screen. I wish it was $250 cheaper and I could say it was a good value, but it is a solid device.

Hello Samsung. Just wanted to thank y'all for these new Z FOLDS (8 & 8 ULTRA). Based on what i have seen and felt, if i may make ONLY 2 suggestions. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, Make the z fold 9 with the same hinge as the z fold 8 ultra and give it the same camera 200mp. Other than that, I would have boughten the z fold 8 over the 8 ultra due to its size and functionality. I hope this reaches you well and have high hopes for the passport phone (z fold 8) next year. If you make this work....best bet, I WILL be upgrading to this phone for sure as this is what my wife and I really wanted until we found out the hinge, camera, & also battery life. Thanks.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 is definitely the best smartphone for social media viewing experience. The front screen is already large enough to do most essential works. But when i watch YouTube or browse social media like Instagram or Threads, I almost always use the inner screen to enjoy the most out of it. I strongly recommend this phone to everyone.

Today is day 5 with the phone and I am absolutely loving it. Battery life has been fantastic and the size of phone is just perfect for getting most things done on the cover screen and accomplishing the rest on the inner screen. Having had the z fold 7 which was a good phone I can honestly say the "regular" 8 is even better and the perfect form factor for me. Cream colour is the best IMHO.. I have never had an issue with the crease so no comment on that. Screen display is bright enough even for outdoors in sunny weather. Oneui 9 flies so no complaints there. We will have to see how we do for durability going forward. The only complaint to date is the cost to own one of these phones.

the screens on the device are fantastic, way beyond my expectations. the hinge is way less visible than the previous model. however the speaks are kinda weak, and they are all lay on the left of the phone while I open up the inner screen (landscape)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been using for a week, this Galaxy Z Fold8 One Ui is really easy to use and all the apps runs smoothly even then I'm multitasking on many windows.

I've has this phone for a bit over a week and I'm still obsessed with it. The form factor feels right even before you open the device to the main screen. I've become so accustomed to the outside screen, using any other device feels like I'm holding a TV remote. Perfect form factor.

Bought the Fold8 last week - my first time purchasing a fold phone, third time purchase for a Samsung device. Genuinely really happy with the design and functionality, the folded setup is perfect for streaming games and watching videos while the standard passport option is nice for day to day use.

this is one of the best phone with the perfect size. Folded or unfolded you will forget all other phones that you ever use all other phones that you ever used once you start using this. And it's Samsung so performance is the best as always.

I've had this phone for about 3 weeks and so far, it has worked well. I love the size. It's a good combination between Fold and Flip; I just love it. I would like Samsung to release more cases for this phone.

I do alot of work on my phone and volunteer massive amounts of time and energy into events for my local VFW Post. I love Samsungs electronics and choose them over other brands as often as possible. The new Zfold8 is perfect for live videos of events and showing videos and pictures to potential new members in my Post. I can do banking, emails and so much more all from my phone to keep up to date with younger Veterans as well as help older Veterans with issues they might be experiencing. Save me time and hassle having multiple electronics to do all the jobs I can do on this phone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I pre ordered the Galaxy fold 8. I used it for around a week. The phone is great and the fold crease has diminished substantially. The screen quality was amazing and I was surprised by how long the battery lasted. I ended up returning it due to being worried of damaging it and being slightly paranoid about it not being dust resistant or having the inner screen get damaged accidentally. I say its almost there because it is "almost there." The phone is great but not having the best cameras is a big fault in a 1800 dollar phone. None the less I'm sure it will be a great phone for most people. The chose the Ultra 26 as a replacement and am more than happy!

Nothing has ever been able to sway me from OP until now (Also they are not operating in the US anymore so forget them) the form factor on the new Z fold 8 is amazing. I can't go back to a standard size phone now. Battery life is decent as are the cameras. The OS and media consumption is where this phone shines, everywhere I go I can fold it open and just watch an episode of Ink Master and its awesome like watching TV at home on a tablet. Don't not hesitate on this phone it really is an experience if you like small form factor.

This phone is the best phone I have ever used. Display size and quality is amazing. When tablets were first introduced, it was completely a new device, a new tech.. This phone gives the same feeling. A completely new form of technology. Outer screen does all your daily tasks. Inner screens multitask ability is excellent. Samsung UI is also excellent. Fluidity is also amazing. Youtuber criticized the camera but it's actually good. Only two negatves I would say is relatively weak battery life and no S Pen support. Samsung better finds a solution to S Pen or any slim pen as this phone screams to get a pen support. Overall top top tier phone, feels completely different and unmatched.

Only problem i have is battery life and power !!!!!!

It's been a few days with this phone and I've changed it to my daily phone!

Battery - 4/5 Havent used it long enough but i could definitely tell that the new silicon carbon battery is making a huge difference Display - 5/5 Solid display. Nice viewing angles and the display is very readable outside. 120hz especially on the front screen is buttery smooth. Performance - Everything is smooth the animations are not luckluster. Using the new One UI 9.0 reminds me of the time when I first got to use One UI from the Note 10+ (also 4.1 and 7.0 are my favorite iterations)

I love to watch videos and this phone seems built for exactly that. Whether I'm watching the outer screen turned to the side for a quick short video, or need the cinematic experience of the larger inner screen, this device has me covered. When opened and held horizontal for apps like YouTube or vertical for apps like Facebook, the inner surface advantage comes alive. Oh, and I can reach everything with one hand now when it's closed! Can't say enough about the form factor. Great purchase 10 out of 5 stars, I love it.

The thinner, lighter design compared with other Fold devices makes for a more user friendly experience whilst still offering the front screen as a quick use tool and the larger fold screen as a small tablet all in one. Ive put a 360 case on it as i will drop it and this is still no thicker than the average phone in a case. Battery so far is more than i need for heavy daily use and the speed and response is exceptional. The fold mech is strong and durable, holds firmly closed until openeded and snaps closed when finished. Best Samsung phone to date.

Although I love these phones, they always seemed to be a little too narrow and a little too tall. When I saw the Z Fold 8, I knew this was the form factor I had been waiting for, so I chose to trade in my Z Fold 7 and get the Z Fold 8. Now that I have been using it over the past week, I know I made the right choice! This phone is fantastic! It fits perfectly in my hand and the aspect ratios of the outside and inside screens are perfect for media participation consumption. Bravo to Samsung for always thinking outside the box when it comes to their new phones!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think Samsung nailed it with the Fold8, the size, the hinge mechanism, the screen viewing ration when folded and unfolded, it is impressive and once you get used to it you can't go back to normal phones. Battery capacity is huge and certainly lasts for a full day with constant usage, and the phone form factor is durable but worth investing in a rugged cased to protect such massive investment. Screen is bright and very responsive when folded and unfolded, really love watching videos on this phone, and more importantly choose the right case that support vertical kickstand (not just horizontal) to be sure you are most enjoying the screen view.

The flip felt too small and I have been an Ultra girl since the note series. This phone ferls great in my hand. It feels like a mini book or even like a compact mirror. The screen is responsive. Flips through pages quickly. The colors of my videos, pictures and movies look stunning. I think the sound is louder than my S23 Ultra. My daughter complained it was too loud but not for me, lol. It's a great little phone and I can't wait until I can customize it even more. It's beautiful and sleek. I love the fingerprint sensor on the side. It responds quickly to unlock.

My last phone was the s23 ultra for the display size and the CPU was pretty alright. But now I game waaaaay more on my phone when I'm not home and I read a lot more Manga and comics so I felt like I had to chose the fold 8. The compact size of the front is perfect for tiktok and I perfer reading fanfics and books on the front display. Inside is THE PERFECT SIZE FOR MANGA AND COMICS! It is the same size as the paperwhite 12th gen. Only downside is no pen and the inner camera should be more to the corner cause it does mess the menu in a few gacha games like HSR.

At just 201g, it's the lightest book-style foldable yet and feels much more pocketable. Folded: Wide and compact like a passport — the 5.5-inch cover screen is way more usable one-handed for texting, scrolling, and quick tasks. Unfolded: The 7.6-inch inner screen has a near 4:3 ratio that's excellent for videos, YouTube, Netflix, and browsing with fewer black bars. The crease is much less noticeable thanks to new Flex Titanium tech, and the hinge feels solid. It’s fun to open and close. Some people might still find the thickness or sharp corners slightly awkward in tight pockets, but overall it's a huge improvement in everyday comfort.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third foldable phone. I used to own galaxy Z fold 2 and Z fold 5. Both were pretty good but this one feels and is even better. For me the size is perfect, you can use the entire phone with a single hand even when you are using it as tablet mode. I think the technology got pretty much improved for the foldable system, it feels smooth when you fold and unfold the phone. Although the cameras are not the ones as the ultra the photos are very good. Also you can see that the battery lasts longer as the previous foldable phones as well as my galaxy s25 ultra. So Big improvement there too. Definitely my best foldable phone so far.

I loved having a smaller phone, but I also used it for it's bending capability. I planned on getting the new Z flip 8 but when I saw this model I knew it was for me. It's smaller than average phones, and of course it unfolds to a much larger screen. I've missed having a phone that I could use without opening it. Today was the first full day of using it and I used the front screen to watch some videos and slightly opened the phone so it stood on its own. Absolutely loved it. I will now watch movies on the inside screen and i can't wait. This is such a smart move for Samsung!!!!

It's wonderfully compact when folded, but unfolding it into a mini tablet completely changes the experience. When opened the screen is amazing! Watching Netflix and YouTube on this is seriously impressive. When I want to play games I open it up and now I have a tablet, it really blew my expectations out of the water. I really like that the finger print reader is in the power button it makes more sense to have it there. This phone is way louder than my s26 was. The compact size of this phone when closed should be the new standard, it just feels more natural. I dont see myself ever going back to a candy bar shaped phone ever again.

The skinny frames of the old models turned me off because I wanted a better typing experience. But with the new Z fold 8, I can honestly say that I never want to go back to candy bar style phone. This passport design is what I've been searching for and ultimately why I chose this phone. The inner display is amazing and very natural to use. The only thing I wish was different was that the camera setup was horizontal instead of vertical, because it's a little hard to keep the top edges kd my fingers out of the shot or affect the lighting because the natural position of holding the device is right against bottom of the camera bump.

So I figured I'd give this one a shot because I really love the look of it. I am so happy that I did because wow this phone is perfect. I'm not someone who does all these fancy things with phones but with this phone I just might. Phone is so thin and very light. Very Snappy and the battery life I'm getting a day and a half out of it. At first I was skeptical because of the price but now I see it's completely Justified. Absolutely love the phone.

The passport type shape is really appealing to me and its been a dream to consume content on. The device is very responsive and I havent had any kind of slowdowns at all, everything is instant and smooth. The battery life is really good too! I like the new si-c battery, it lasts ages and I havent had any issues with it at all- plus it keeps the device sleek and thin. The device itself feels very sturdy, it's well made and I have no concerns of it breaking. The hinge feels very snappy and premium and I havent had any issues with it at all.
