I loved the wider passport form factor of the original Pixel Fold, and Samsung nailed that exact ergonomic sweet spot with a build that is sleeker, lighter, and more refined. The outer screen feels natural for everyday one-handed use, while opening it up provides an incredible canvas for multitasking and productivity. What brought me over is that Samsung has continued to innovate and push hardware engineering forward with each generation. The hardware feels premium, fast, and remarkably durable. Cannot recommend this phone enough!

The flip felt too small and I have been an Ultra girl since the note series. This phone ferls great in my hand. It feels like a mini book or even like a compact mirror. The screen is responsive. Flips through pages quickly. The colors of my videos, pictures and movies look stunning. I think the sound is louder than my S23 Ultra. My daughter complained it was too loud but not for me, lol. It's a great little phone and I can't wait until I can customize it even more. It's beautiful and sleek. I love the fingerprint sensor on the side. It responds quickly to unlock.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While it took a brief adjustment period to get used to the shorter height, I chose this device because it delivers easily the best form factor available. It's wonderfully compact when folded, but unfolding it into a mini tablet completely changes the experience. Videos look fantastic on the inner display, and the anti-reflective screen coating makes a massive difference for visibility. The upgraded faster charging is a welcome quality-of-life improvement, and the cameras are completely sufficient for everyday photos. Most of all, it brought back that genuine sense of excitement for mobile technology that smartphones have lacked for a long time.

Nothing has ever been able to sway me from OP until now (Also they are not operating in the US anymore so forget them) the form factor on the new Z fold 8 is amazing. I can't go back to a standard size phone now. Battery life is decent as are the cameras. The OS and media consumption is where this phone shines, everywhere I go I can fold it open and just watch an episode of Ink Master and its awesome like watching TV at home on a tablet. Don't not hesitate on this phone it really is an experience if you like small form factor.

When opened the screen is amazing! Watching Netflix and YouTube on this is seriously impressive. When I want to play games I open it up and now I have a tablet, it really blew my expectations out of the water. I really like that the finger print reader is in the power button it makes more sense to have it there. This phone is way louder than my s26 was. The compact size of this phone when closed should be the new standard, it just feels more natural. I dont see myself ever going back to a candy bar shaped phone ever again.

I do alot of work on my phone and volunteer massive amounts of time and energy into events for my local VFW Post. I love Samsungs electronics and choose them over other brands as often as possible. The new Zfold8 is perfect for live videos of events and showing videos and pictures to potential new members in my Post. I can do banking, emails and so much more all from my phone to keep up to date with younger Veterans as well as help older Veterans with issues they might be experiencing. Save me time and hassle having multiple electronics to do all the jobs I can do on this phone.

It is the ultimate daily driver. I use my phone alot to watch movies, YouTube videos, and for reading. Reading on this phone is so comfortable on both the inner and outer displays. I find that in using the inner display alot more than I did on my previous fold because the new dimensions make it feel so much better in my small hands Also, the phone is just beautiful. I love that videos take up the whole screen on the outer display and the brightness on this phone makes everything look sharper.

I use the cover screen for quick messages, calls, and checking notifications. When I open the phone, the larger display is very useful for watching videos, gaming, studying, and doing schoolwork. I also like using multiple apps at the same time, especially when I need to take notes while reading something online. Hello Samsung. Just wanted to thank y'all for these new Z FOLDS (8 & 8 ULTRA). Based on what i have seen and felt, if i may make ONLY 2 suggestions. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, Make the z fold 9 with the same hinge as the z fold 8 ultra and give it the same camera 200mp. Other than that, I would have boughten the z fold 8 over the 8 ultra due to its size and functionality. I hope this reaches you well and have high hopes for the passport phone (z fold 8) next year. If you make this work....best bet, I WILL be upgrading to this phone for sure as this is what my wife and I really wanted until we found out the hinge, camera, & also battery life. Thanks.

I ended up returning the Razr for software alone. One UI is incredible and the Z Fold 8 is like having 3 devices in one. I rarely take photos but it's strange Samsung purposely set up a gen 2 with upgraded cameras. Keep us loyal at the onset! This device is amazingly light, strong, last long, has amazing screens, so easy and fun to use. Finally a phone is fun again! I got so sick and bored of the slabs and remote style. This for. Factor is perfect! Love it. So glad I chose to try this out, keeping it until gen 2.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a long time Samsung Z Galaxy product user and I chose the new Fold 8 because of the form factor. The phone is the exact size of a Travel passport albeit a few mm thicker. I can hold the phone in my back pocket without it sticking out. I like that I can do most of my tasks using the apps on the cover screen because of the larger size. The rest of the phone features are what Samsung is known for. As for any negatives, I have owned previous Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Fold phones versions and have had cover screen and screen issues. Hopefully Samsung has figured out to avoid the problem in it's 8th version of the phones.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been interested in the Z fold and flip options, but never ultimately bought one. The skinny frames of the old models turned me off because I wanted a better typing experience. But with the new Z fold 8, I can honestly say that I never want to go back to candy bar style phone. This passport design is what I've been searching for and ultimately why I chose this phone. The inner display is amazing and very natural to use. The only thing I wish was different was that the camera setup was horizontal instead of vertical, because it's a little hard to keep the top edges kd my fingers out of the shot or affect the lighting because the natural position of holding the device is right against bottom of the camera bump.

I am very happy with the form factor. I am coming from a Fold 6 which I found to be too narrow when folded. The added width makes it easier for me to type on the keyboard. The shorter height makes it easy to reach the top and bottom of the screen when folded. There is less wasted space when watching videos unfolded. I think my ideal phone would be this form factor with better cameras. I am noticing some third party apps not accommodating the screen resolution properly but assume things will improve over time. The battery so far seems good. It is lasting longer than my Fold 6 probably due to a combination of larger battery size and degradation in my old phone.

So I figured I'd give this one a shot because I really love the look of it. I am so happy that I did because wow this phone is perfect. I'm not someone who does all these fancy things with phones but with this phone I just might. Phone is so thin and very light. Very Snappy and the battery life I'm getting a day and a half out of it. At first I was skeptical because of the price but now I see it's completely Justified. Absolutely love the phone.

This phone redefines the concept of having a tablet in your pocket. I work in the IT field which means I handle a lot of documents and spreadsheets daily. I now only carry this device and nothing else. The battery actually lasts longer than my 26 Ultra which still blows my mind. The cameras are more then adequate for your everyday needs! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really impressed with the Galaxy Z Fold 8. One of my favorite things is how compact and comfortable it feels when folded. The smaller size makes it much easier to hold and use with one hand, which is very convenient for everyday use. The new hinge design also feels like a nice improvement. It feels smooth and solid, and the crease on the main screen is noticeably less visible, giving the large display a cleaner and more premium look. Overall, the Fold 8 combines the convenience of a compact phone with the benefits of a large screen when you need it. Great design, easier one-handed use, improved hinge, and a better-looking main display. Very happy with it!

I received this on Aug 3 from the store. I am amazed at what this device can do. Multi tasking and social media on this device is amazing and feels butter smooth. The new silicon battery lasts much longer than previous generations and easily lasts a day for even a heavy user. Charging th3 device is also much quicker now and given the reliability of the fold 7, this new hinge mechanism is only gonna last longer. This is the best of both worlds for someone confused between the flip or the ultra.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the new Fold 8 to try the new size, but I am disappointed by the losses on the camera quality starting around 20ft away. In addition, the half folds (L shape) or tent fold (A Shape), don't seem to work that well. It actually measure up well next to my Fold 3, so I turn it long ways to type better, as the wide screen makes the keyboard too long for me. I also miss the full size of the cover screen. It severely displaced my home screen and spit the icons up weirdly over the other panels. Like the left over icons from panel 1, didn't simply get pushed to panel 2? I want to see if I can switch to the Fold 8 Ultra.

It was remarkably easy to set up and transfer from my old device. I think the new passport size and shape is awesome. I'll have a game running on the bottom half while YouTube plays up top and messages come in alongside it — three things at once, all usable, no swapping back and forth. Unfolded it's big enough that I've stopped reaching for a tablet for movies and shows, and the colors hold up in a dark room or outside. The speakers are louder and fuller than I expected from something this thin, and the fold itself feels solid in hand. Folded, it's still just a normal phone for music and podcasts on the go. One device that covers all of it.

When this passport style form factor each announced, I was skeptical. Once I saw it on person, and held it in my hands and I knew I had to have it. I chose the Z Fold 8 in lavender, which is a gorgeous color. I love this phone's versatility. Streaming, scrolling, typing, multitasking. This phone does it all well. I love both displays, the colors are vibrant without feeling oversaturated. The battery life so far is very impressive. I'm looking forward to enjoying this device on daily life as well as traveling.

I'm 1 week into my time with the Fold8, and overall I've been very impressed with the screen, battery life and overall performance. The form factor is unique and when unfolded, the inner screen is amazing for watching content or multi-tasking. The price is still steep, the speakers are pretty mediocre, and without a case it does feel a bit fragile, but aside from these caveats: this is the first genuinely exciting foldable device I've used.

The front screen finally feels like a normal phone, and unfolding it into that wider canvas is a game-changer for how I work. I use it daily to multitask, usually running work chats and documents side-by-side without feeling cramped, and kicking back to watch videos or stream shows on the main display is incredible. It’s easily the best upgrade I’ve made for getting things done on the go.

I was worried to buy fold type phone because I heared its weak durability from my friends. But Samsung has developed its durability with strong hinge. Battery is similar to my s24 ultra with higher brightness screen. Touch screen responsiveness is also.good. Im satisfied to its mertitasking performance. But Samsung should adjust speaker position. And I hope bigger main and cover screen to next generation. Overall, it is recommendable.

Samsung hit the sweet spot with the Z Fold 8. It’s noticeably thinner, lightweight, and incredibly fast. The outer display feels much more natural for typing, while opening the inner display gives you an incredible tablet-like experience for multitasking or watching videos. A small passport size that is lightweight and doesn't draw down your pockets. But wait! You can un fold the standard screen to expose a double-size game or movie view. If you have to work and save entertainment for later, the screen can be shared between windows for multitasking. Also, the camera seems clearer.

The new fold 8 is very thin when unfolded and when folded is as thin as a brick phone. I love that it has a bigger battery, now lasts all day. The A I features on phone are much improved from asking it questions to helping when taking videos and pictures. The of the fold 8 when folded is the perfect size, it's the size all phones should be. Can't wait to see what they do with the Fold 9. Very happy with my upgrade.
