[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been a fan of Samsjng products and currently own a Samsung TV, Tab S10 Ultra (my 'daily workhorse), Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 (lovely bit of kit this!) and have just recently bought the Z Fold 8 (I was considering getting the ZFold 8 Ultra instead 9fantastic specs especially camera wise) but wanted something a little more portable/pocketable and loved the unique form factor of the Z Fold 8). The battery and screen on the ZFpld 8 are very good and the powerful processor and generous memory specs mean that it's super responsive no matter what tasks I throw at it. I particularly like the fact that everything works in unison with each other two enabling me to hop from one device to another with ease, hook the Tableg or TV up as a second screen and even use the Z Fold 8 to 'control other devices' using the Samsung 'infrastructure'.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Introduction: I have been using the Samsung Galaxy Fold 8 for 2 weeks now and I have enjoyed every day of using it. Here are my thoughts on the phone. Positives: The short wide form factor display is compact, durable protected against dirt and debris and well built quality with a responsive screen for viewing more content and multitask with a nice 50/50 split with 3 applications. The applications open quickly with no lagging and watching videos on the 7.6 inch screen is fantastic. I found that the battery lasted typically a day and half with maximum protection enabled. Using it for productivity was great with the built-in scanner and AI tools. In particular, the Good luck application offered plugins to customize the fold 8 to for optimum performance and productivity. Negatives: I noticed that the phone snaps fully open or shuts instead of holding at around 50% angles because the hinge lacks the resistance needed to prop the phone open like a mini-laptop. In addition, flex mode panel settings are missing. The phone is slightly too wide for my small hands however I was able to use the Good luck application and the gestures to enable easy reachability on the front screen. In the next update of the phone I suggest that Samsung reduces the bezels and thickness of the phone. Conclusions: The Galaxy fold 8 new form factor is a well built phone with a video-friendly display with excellent battery life, quick performance, and helpful AI features. This is now my main and only phone at least until the next upgrade in 2027.

The battery has been a great upgrade (coming from z fold 6). Camera is great. It has been joy to use. The phone seems durable too. And the hinge seems solid. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a Samsung Z Fold user for a number of years, with a Z Fold 4 and then a Z Fold 6. I loved both of these phones and the One UI software. The multitasking is next level, photos are amazing, and usability is brilliant. The Fold 4 had some battery problems after 2 years; that is why I upgraded to the Fold 6. The battery, durability, hinge and responsiveness of that phone were perfect for what I do. When I saw this new Z Fold 8 and its new format, it is perfect - it is the best of both worlds. The cover screen is now so usable, and the inside screen with the thinner body make it fit in my hand so easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the Fold 6 and thought moving to the Fold 7 was an evolution change, but moving to the Fold 8, wow! The size is perfect, it fits into your hand and looks right. Then you open it up and it transforms, pictures, video and books just fit the this screen ratio. The hinge works better than the Fold 7, opening easier and snaps open. The crease I have forgotten about. I didn't notice it on the Fold 7, but the screen is so much better. I never thought the Fold 7 was a slouch but the 8 seems so much more smoother and responsive. One UI 9 has some great improvements and the integration with the AI makes tasks and work flow so much easier.

At just 201g, it's the lightest book-style foldable yet and feels much more pocketable. Folded: Wide and compact like a passport — the 5.5-inch cover screen is way more usable one-handed for texting, scrolling, and quick tasks. Unfolded: The 7.6-inch inner screen has a near 4:3 ratio that's excellent for videos, YouTube, Netflix, and browsing with fewer black bars. The crease is much less noticeable thanks to new Flex Titanium tech, and the hinge feels solid. It’s fun to open and close. Some people might still find the thickness or sharp corners slightly awkward in tight pockets, but overall it's a huge improvement in everyday comfort.
This phone is awesome for my videos, the new design really allowed me to put in pocket easier as well. Easily long hours usage, bigger battery and longer usage time.

Maybe make one that has no fold in it - what a great size and it would be so much thinner. I guess it'll take a while for app developers to fully exploit the screen size as some apps look weird right now. Battery is a pleasant surprise as it's so much better than the zfold6. I’ve been waiting for a foldable that doesn't feel super heavy in my pocket, and the Fold 8 finally nails it. The weight difference is incredibly noticeable right out of the box. As an accountant, being able to open up balance sheets and review financial reports on the go without squinting at a tiny screen is a massive time saver. The screen is also impressively bright even when I'm walking outside. The hinge feels sturdy, and jumping between apps is totally seamless.

With the ultra the screen is too narrow and i feel i need to open it more than i should. The crease is barely visible at the moment which is great. Not sure how this will be over time. Battery life is good last me the day. The hinge is very keen not sure im confortable with the forceful opening. Its alot lighter than my previous phone so durability is yet to be determined. But with this being so light im worried for how it would stand up to being dropped. With the 1tb 16gb it feel rapid when it comes to responsiveness.

In fact if you never open it it is still an awesome device. It just gets even better when you open it to view your media consumption as you wish. The battery life will keep going all day even with heavy use. Ive not tried to push it to the max but i am yet to come up against any issue where responsiveness is concerned. Obviously the device comes with a price tag; but so far it is worth every penny and ive not gone anywhere near its potential

It is beautiful and everyone that sees it is immediately amazed by its thin size, light weight, passport size but that opens into a beautiful tablet. The fold crease is seamless and is a very elegant phone. The battery seems to last forever, and the new ai and smart features are the cherry on top of the cake. I did not have a fold before as I thought they were too bulky but this one is smaller than my previous galaxy24+. I'm really happy with it and would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their phone.

For the first time ever I can use the front screen. I have arthritis so my fingers have always been too cumbersome to use the narrow front screen, this one is a completely different experience. When folded, thickness is just about right, another couple of mm for next version pls :-) The only thing I'll pick holes in, is to ask why camera are always put at the side of the device? It means that you cannot place the phone on a table and use it, as rocks back and forth in an extremely annoying manor. Battery, we'll see. Looks to be just enough to last the day, time will tell, especially if I use it more due to increased functionality.

I'm finding I'm not having to open it as much as my previous z fold 3 as the front screen is a decent size. Others have commented how much sharper the video calls are, really enjoying this phone 4 days in so far, have charged it a couple of times. The crease is not visible, the phone is thinner and much lighter than my previous phone, the hinge feels tighter, the phone feels durable - time will tell.

This size is perfect for my hands! Was using the flip previously because I love the small size, with this new form factor, I can have both the pros of a compact phone and a big screen phone. I love that the video continues playing when I'm opening up from the cover screen to the big screen, there's no pause and I don't have to press play to get the video playing again.
Fold 8 5.5-inch screen. Unfolded, the 7.6-inch inner display features a 4:3 aspect ratio backed by Flex Titanium tech to minimize crease visibility while delivering 3,000 nits peak brightness. Weighing just 201g and measuring 4.5mm thin unfolded, it is remarkably light. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and a 4,800mAh battery handle heavy multitasking with ease.
While the new aspect ratio makes it much more comfortable to hold, the real highlight is still the less crease display. Whether you are working on documents or browsing the web, the screen is noticeably flatter. You don't get that distracting reflective line down the center anymore, making multitasking a lot more enjoyable.
Fold 8 is indeed built for everyday social media and media watching needs. The 4:3 aspect ratio viewing experience, when opened, is immersive yet the phone feels so compact when closed. Have been waiting for a new fold and this does not disappoint. It's such a cute size, light and feels so futuristic. The screen feels durable and it's bright enough that I don't see the crease. Time will tell about the battery but it's great so far.

the battery life for the fold 8 is superb. it last all day long from morning till night. didnt have to charge until i go to bed. the titanium flex hinge is so tough and i realise i can depend on it for folding. display is too vibrant and compact and big at the same time.

I have got the s25 ultra, its absolutely amazing, honestly I was considering the 17pro max, pixel 10 pro xl, and the s25 ultra for over 3 months, and did lots of comparisons, all were good products, but by far the s25 ultra blows everything out of the water, its the king of all phones.
