I recently received my Samsung Galaxy watch 9 on the 5th of August,2026. I do not even know from where to start. This is my first ever smart watch, and this review might not go through everthing. I am just giving my honest opinion. The customization, comfort, and simplicity of using this watch has been a life changer for me. I am able to chose whichever image, stats, clock type is very great, as I can always change my options to have a different look at the tap of hand. I also have the watch on when going to sleep, so I can get tracks to how my oxygen intake, sleep score, and energy will be for the next day. The watch looks and feels super durable, and straps do not move an inch if somone tries pulling them. The Battery is great so far, as I do need to give the watch sometime to learn and adapt to my usage, habits, and some updates that go in the background for it. I try to charge the watch around 25-30% to full, so I can have it ready for sleep tracking. The accuracy of the watch is 100% on point with my phone, I can always feel confident when getting the exact time from it when my phone is out of reach, or when driving. Overall, it's a very great for watch for daily usage, stylish design, affordable, and so comfortable that I do not even feel it on my wrist.

I would have given 5 stars but the band that comes with the watch is not appealing to me. To thin on the wrist. Bands online whether 8 or 9 are all thin. Hoping some new ones come out soon. Accessories at this time are hard to find. I had a charger that worked well with my old watch 7 and my flip 5. My flip 8 charges on my old charging station but the watch 9 will not charge. Bummed about that but looking for a new charging station. Again online there is no charging stations compatible with the watch 9 unless you use Samsungs puck.

After considerable consideration and talks with my fiancée, it became clear to us that it was. I previously had the galaxy watch 7, and honestly I was amazed with how well it worked. There were somethings I missed out on that the new models had but wasnt a big issue for me. If you can get a major discount on the watch like I did, the galaxy watch 9 is EASILY worth it. Im not too sure how it holds up against the 8, but I havent been let down. Also the battery life on this thing is really good so far. Thats with all the settings turned on and it lasts 2 days on a single charge.

I love that the interface is the same as my older model samsung watch so I can have a smooth switch to the new model. It reacts well to my settings to turn on when I move my wrist. The step counter is real time. It does take a little extra time to charge. Mine out of the box was 73% it took over 30 mins to reach 100%. So charging could be improved. Since there was only one strap, I have the 44mm size watch because the strap fits my wrist better than the 40mm size. Overall I'm very happy with the watch 9! Can't wait for what's to come with this watch!

Traded in the watch 7 for the new watch 9 and I am bitterly disappointed. The watch 7 gave me no issues at all and the features fully worked but for the watch 9 which is smart looking and on the whole as I would expect, the sleep tracking is non existent. I get no data at all, which gives no energy scores and other features need a baseline score which is gained from the sleep data before use. I have tried everything to try and fix this, power saving mode trick, permissions are fully on, full reset and nothing has worked so far. Obviously, trying these different methods takes time to know if they work which is becoming painful, the watch will more than likely be getting returned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the watch 8 44mm and wasn't sure about whether it would be worth it to upgrade. I chose the graphite color because it looked very classy. I could immediately see the improvement in the display. Its really beautiful. It doesn't look as big and bulky as the 8. It's more touch responsive. I'm glad I decided to take the leap. This watch is understated and very high quality in appearance. I actually received it earlier than expected. The data transfer from 8 was seamless and very fast. Even if you have a later watch version, you will enjoy the 9 and see the difference. I recommend it without reservation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll start with the good. I like the look of the watch and the bands. Coming from the watch 7,I would say that this is an upgrade. I also like the new watch faces. They are quite fun. The health features have improved, offering more insight into my health. The bad. The battery is clearly worse in this years iteration than in previous years. I barely make it a day with the same settings in my watch 7 that got me at least a day and a half. I know it's still early but this is disappointing. I'm also experiencing some sound issues while connected to a call. Overall this is a bit disappointing and I'm awaiting a fix from Samsung. I choose to keep this watch because I already sent my trade in back to Samsung.

I chose the Galaxy Watch9 because of the benefits it could bring to my health and the innovation it could bring to monitoring it. When I bought my first watch (The Galaxy Watch5), I made it my goal to use its features to the fullest. Since then, I have lost over 60lbs in overall weight and taken up frequent runs. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the Galaxy Watch8 very well and satisfied with it. However I have decided to change to Watch9 model because of the chipset change and battery increase. However, I cannot feel that the QC the Snapdragon wear elite chipset is superior than Exynos W1000. Also the battery increase is just 10mAh. No exterior difference except for the color of back plane. Watch9 is also nice product but I am not sure if it worthes to change the previous model. At least if there is one minor change in the figure, it would be more attractive to distinguish it from previous model. Thanks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Am a Samsung fan since the Note 2, and after trying various watches I decided a more minimalist watch since my Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2024 just started feeling too big and heavy for me. I chose to upgrade because this watch has the new Snapdragon processor, it has a bright display, and all the features I've come to expect in a daily wear Watch. The operating system is smooth and efficient enough to last me throughout the whole day. It is lightweight and very stylish especially the white color it goes with my new Fold 8. I still need to dive deeper into the health features but already did one night of the sleep apnea and link to my service provider since i chose the LTE model over the Wi-Fi for convenience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Im very health conscious and wanted the latest and greatest that Samsung had. I chose this watch because it had all the latest features. Well I have found that with all these new features you give up battery life. The watch has no battery life at ALL. I have to charge it daily. I will go to bed at 100% and wake up with it between 75 - 80% battery life. When i go to the battery settings its shows that the battery life is 1d 11h. I previously had the watch 7 and it easily lasted 4 days or 5 if i shut down the features. I guess with all the new features and the AI its just not worth it at this time. Im disappointed as i had such high hopes.

This year they increase the battery size and I was a huge fan of that. I also like the fact that they increase the brightness of the watch screen in addition to the battery size so the watch face is now brighter. My last Galaxy watch survived a motorcycle accident so clearly they are built tough and I will continue to get a new watch when they release as I look forward to new features. I would be a huge fan of eliminating the bezel around the watch in the future so they could increase the screen size without increasing the watch size.

I chose the 44mm size for the biggest possible battery. Im so happy it doesn't require charging every day! I wasn't super excited about the "squircle" design change but this time I got black and it looks really sharp. I rely on the health monitors daily and I appreciate how long the blood pressure monitor works before needing to be recalibrated. It has all the health monitors I regularly rely on and several more. The new sport band still feels like sport, while looking more traditional. This watch is a winner

Among other things, I'm a pianist who performs and plays regularly, and though, I may have been doing so for 75 years, i'm very comfortable working with digital music these days. I get crystal clear images and it integrates nicely with my bluetooth pedals. I also do technical theater work, including lighting and audio, and regularly use apps on this tablet to control lighting and audio. Like I said, it's a workhorse. When the time comes to upgrade my tablet, you can be darn sure, it's going to be another.Samsung.

It’s comfortable enough to wear every day, looks sleek, and has all the features I use most, including health tracking, notifications, workouts, and sleep tracking. The performance feels smooth and responsive, and the battery life has been reliable for my daily use. Since I’ve experienced several generations of Galaxy watches, I can definitely appreciate the improvements Samsung has made over the years. If you want a powerful smartwatch without the bulkier feel of the Ultra, the Galaxy Watch 9 is an excellent choice. So far, I’m very happy with my purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galaxy Watch 9 44mm is the first smartwatch I’ve ever owned, and so far I’m really enjoying it. I chose this watch because of the improved battery life, GPS tracking, exercise features, and the ability to raise my wrist and talk to Gemini. One of my favorite features is the vibrating alarm. I can wake up in the morning without a loud alarm waking up my partner, which is a small feature that makes a big difference. Most importantly, having LTE gives me the freedom to go out and exercise without bringing my phone. I can listen to my music, track my workouts and GPS, and make or receive calls right from my watch. It’s really nice being able to leave my phone behind and still stay connected. I’m still learning everything this watch can do, but for my first smartwatch, I’m very happy with my choice.

I pre-ordered the day it was announced and glad to say I'm happy with my purchase. I didn't realize how many extra health features were missing from switching to galaxy watch 9 from the galaxy watch 6. Was pleasantly surprised. I received my new watch 2 days before launch and have had no issues ever since. The reason I'm only giving 4 stars is because I'm not fond of the style (circle watch face in a rounded off square). I love the old round style. I also cannot use my original 2-in-1 wireless Samsung charger as it doesn't sit flat. Bummer.

I bought this to be able to track health. Pleasantly surprised. Very comfortable. The display is amazing in full sun. Battery is pretty good considering always on display.. solid 1.5 to 2 days. Durability remains to be seen.. but it looks like shouldn't be a problem. I love all the watch faces you can choose from, but even then how even the one you end up choosing you can customize the layout. Accuracy heartbeat, steps, mileage body mass index etc all seem to be pretty much spot on. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The biggest change right off the bat for me is that I no longer have thr rotating bezel like I had with the Watch 6 Classic. It is going to take getting use to not have that. I also miss the more defined buttons. That being said set up was smooth. It is fast and has many new features that I will enjoy using. I got the fabric band, which is very comfortable. My only complaint with it is that it is not easy to get it to charge with my Samsung trio charger. Probably going to look at a different band. I am sure that as I spend more time with the Watch 9, it will become just as comfortable and useful as my Watch 6 Classic has been.

I like that it includes metabolic monitoring and antioxidant levels. The bad is the battery. The first day I had it have every feature turned on to see what the life was like. I was at 100% when I put it on at bedtime and in 24 hours it was down to 25%. Today I turned off constant hr function and put on battery saving 11:30 pm last night to 6 pm tonight it is down to 64% so much better with power saving turned on. At that rate it may make it almost 2 days without a charge. I would prefer at least 3 days but its not a deal breaker for me

I absolutely love it's redesign, not only is it unique, but has that classic look as well. The balance they struck between the traditional and modern looks is kind of incredible. Also the operation is exceptionally smooth, the screen is brighter and the transition glides from one screen to the next. My expectation is this watch is the best digital watch out there, bar none.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Galaxy watch 9 to replace my Galaxy watch 8 because I love to how slim and lightweight the Gen 8 has been. The battery life is a bit low and the responsiveness of the screen and UI has always felt a bit delayed, but otherwise I've had no complaints with the Gen 8. I mainly use it for health tracking and exercise tracking while listening to music or audio books. The upgrade to the Galaxy watch 9 seems to be marginal at best. It has slightly better battery life and has a slightly snappier feel to the UI overall, otherwise it maintains the strengths of the 8th gen and remains very comfortable and practical. I love the idea of the Galaxy watch ultra and it's much larger battery, but I prioritize the slim design and much reduced weight compared to the ultra model.

I have the 40mm with a white band, and I find myself sometimes just admiring it :) The battery of this watch, with my use, appears to be 2-3 days. It's very responsive and intuitive for me, coming from the same series. A welcome upgrade!

I chose to finally upgrade my watch based on the new Health features available and better battery life. I am definitely able to use my watch longer, overnight, and without battery anxiety. I was a little concerned about the new design on my tiny wrist, as the watch I had previously was a simple circle, but I quickly got used to it, and don't think it looks too large. I'm happy for the band that is completely adjustable.

I also chose the Misty Blue band and I really like the look. I am Super happy with the improvements in the GPS response when I start a workout. I feel like the profile is a little lower but it has a more Square or Boxy look. So far everything is working great. I also chose the Misty Black band and I also like this look. I have the small medium band and wear it on the 4 th whole but sometimes place it at the 5 th hole.

However, I am disappointed in the battery life and charging speed; I expected better. I am trading in a Galaxy Watch 7 and I think the battery life on the older watch was slightly better. If Samsung could at least improve the rate of charging it would help immensely. I still need to find time each day to charge it along with some time before I go to sleep to use the sleep tracking. Samsung has fallen behind their competitors in these areas. Samsung really needs to focus on this rather than adding additional health tracking features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old Watch Ultra -- the sixth Galaxy Watch I've owned -- had been tracking my sleep erratically. The Galaxy Ring has been a nice interim solution, but the new Galaxy Watch 9 fits my aging, boney wrist much better and I'm betting the enhanced software and sensors will ensure better sleep tracking. My wife and I -- both born in the 1940s -- are inveterate fans of all the other health tracking functions available on our Galaxy watches. We're also big fans of Samsung's trade-in program. We were probably among the first to preorder and get the new Watch 9. Ours arrived at 3PM today, August 5, two days earlier than projected. By 5PM our new watches had already recorded the 2,100 steps it took for us to walk to the nearest UPS store where we dropped off our old watches for return to Samsung. Many thanks!

Haven't used all new features but my regular usage has improved. Only thing is dont like circle design over square. Either should be circle or square. Also, another drawback I noticed is does not sit properly on samsung wireless pad. Have to do workaround - tying strap upwards to sit up properly.

I absolutely love the Watch 9. This Watch does more than my Watch 7. The battery life is better, but I still have to charge it everyday. I usually put my watch on the charger first thing when I wake up and then when I am done getting ready for the day, it is fully charged. I think the Watch 9 is more accurate than my 7. I like the set up so much better too. I love how the Galaxy watches intergrade so seamlessly with my S24 plus phone. The Watch 9 is so much lighter to wear. I hardly feel it on my wrist, like with the 7 I always did feel my watch. I am extremely happy with the 9. It does so much than just giving you the time. I am still exploring all that this watch has to offer. If you are on the fence getting the Watch 9, go for it, you won't be disappointed. Also you get longer security and software updates too.

The watch itself seems to be very good. I would like better battery life or it would be fantastic. As far as options for chargers - not even 1 star, come on Samang, you can't launch a new product and not have any charger options out there! (even better - make it clear that the Watch 9 doesn't work with the charger pucks of the last 10 years of watches - you had a very established trend that disappeared without notice)

My previous samsung watch lasted forever but I finally got tired of keeping it charged (the actual battery lasted me wayyyy longer than it should have). I'm so glad I chose to upgrade to the newest version. Everything is intuitive. I love that I can now see photos from text messages right on my watch. It helps me prioritize message responding even better. One thing im trying to learn is how to setup the blood pressure tracking. Its a little harder than expected but may be user error. As a health care provider I would not hesitate to recommend this watch to a patient because of the features it has for health maintenence, cardiovascular load and health information is sooo important. As is the coaching to help maximize movement during the day on your high energy days. Its beginner friendly and teaches you so much about yourself. Looking forward to finding even more features as I explore.

I also preferred the ability to use 3rd party watchbands - the watch 9 has a unique proprietary connection. The charger is awkward, too. The cord is not long enough, and the cord is not replaceable. There is a limited number of watch faces available, hopefully this will improve with time.

The Galaxy Watch9 cannot charge on the back of a Galaxy phone via Wireless PowerShare, and it often rejects older or third-party wireless chargers due to a redesigned sensor bump and updated internal charging protocols. If you are traveling and only have your watch cable, you can plug the USB-C end of the watch's puck into your phone's port to use the phone as a power source instead. Your Galaxy Watch9 bands are compatible with the Galaxy Watch8 and older Watch8 bands fit the Watch9 since we kept the same lug and strap connection mechanism. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the Galaxy Watch 4 and was going to get the Galaxy Watch 8 in May, but I chose to wait until the Galaxy Watch 9 came out. I can say that it was worth the wait. This watch is amazing, lightweight, and comfortable. I used to never wear my watch to sleep, but now I do because I barely notice it's on my wrist. Overall, this watch is amazing, worth the price, and lightweight. I'm very happy with my purchase and will always be a Samsung fan.

I decided to trade in my Watch Ultra (2024) for the Watch9 44mm. I really didn't need the Ultra for outdoorsy stuff, it was more for the battery life and at the time of its release, it had all the health sensors that I was interested in. Well, a week into owning the Watch9, what a huge mistake that trade was. I did a side by side comparison on Samsung's website at the time of the Watch9 release and it listed the 44mm version with 80 hours AOD off of battery time. Ha!! I barely get a day and a half before needing to charge whereas with the Ultra I got 3 days between charges. Now I go back to Samsung's website to confirm the 80 hours and it says 40 hours... How does the saying go about being fooled more than once? Well, it's shame on Samsung here.

The Galaxy Watch9 is offered in two versions: 40mm with a 390 mAh battery and 44mm with 445 mAh battery. The higher capacity versions allow your Galaxy Watch9 to require less frequency in charging. This means you can keep the Watch powered throughout the day with minimal downtime. While you're using your Galaxy Watch9 without enabling AOD, you should expect to receive about 40 hours of usage time. Up to 30 hours if you're utilizing AOD! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a watch user since Galaxy Watch Active 2, and I cannot be more happy with this new generation. UI is extremely fast, battery was stuck in 57% for almost an hour! And the new bands,elegant but comfy. And my fav feature is the sleep tracker. I monitor my sleep every single day and use the tips from samsung health to improve it! Samsung keeps innovating year by year and this is a good proof of that, thats why I chose samsung everytime!!
