The colors, the build, the display, the quality is all top notch. Setup was a breeze and I can't wait to push this baby to the limit! The 240hz is smooth as butter and the quality and sharpness of the colors bring pleasure to your eyes and dopamine synapses. The ONLY drawback I have so far is that the screen does have significant glare. If you are planning on purchasing this monitor, ensure you are able to diminish the lights in the surrounding area, especially natural light. I'm impressed and certainly happy with this product from Samsung and look forward to enjoying this device for many gaming, movie, and editing nights to come.

The features like the Core Sync lighting, built in crosshair, and all of the different picture modes all give you a lot of control in how the monitor looks and feels. whether I'm watching movies, playing games, or just doing work on my computer this is without a doubt the best display I've ever had. Another huge plus is the size, before I always felt like I needed a second display when i wanted to have multiple tabs open, but this monitor is big enough to just keep them on the same screen. The deep blacks also add so much quality to anything I'm doing. Overall if anyone is looking for an upgrade to their setup, this is a great buy!

Been using Samsung products for years I gotta say this may be the worst product I’ve experienced. I had plenty of Samsung gaming monitors to tvs and even their ecosystem and enjoyed it but nothing came as underwhelming as this product here. I tried it for a few days now and a few days after that hoping this product is good or maybe I’m still adjusting to it, but this product ain’t it. It not as good as it describes. Not satisfied with anything with this product. I’m not happy with the performance and the quality. This product does not live up to its expectations it’s just looks and feels like a normal 4k monitor. It this was just going to be just a normal 4k monitor I woulda just looked somewhere else and bought one. This product ain’t it.

what a fantastic monitor . contrast is incredible, with black levels indistinguishable from my high end OLED TV. that's response time exactly what I needed with the Gray to Gray flicker that reduces blur to almost nothing with fast motion. brightness is nice for OLED levels . I've noticed no issues with color uniformity in gray areas no I've heard talk that there might be . also adware, tracking, or smart functions also. No speakers

The large real estate combined with the crisp 4K OLED display makes this monitor perfect for any task. I used it for both productivity and for gaming and I feel like it makes a great hybrid. The large screen is great for doing work while at the same time gives an incredible experience for games. I feel like it isn't too big for the games I play but personally I play more casual/aesthetic looking video games so I enjoy having a larger nicer display. The 240 hz screen is smooth and makes working or gaming immensely more enjoyable. I could see myself going from two monitors to a single monitor setup with this display alone. I really have to say I am very impressed with how much of an upgrade this made to my setup. It just makes doing work and gaming a more enjoyable experience. I am looking forward to using this monitor for my new job and switching it over to video gaming in my free time from work.

Some key takes I like a lot are the incredible picture quality when paring with my 5070 graphic card which brings amazing game play alongside the 240 hz refresh rate. One thing I feel different owning this monitor is the matte anti-glare coating which makes the monitor feel and look amazing! Other key thing I notice the monitor is very silent even under intense gaming. Definitely a good buy and recommend.

In Palworld, the colors are so bright and vibrant that the Pals and the landscapes look amazing, and everything feels much more immersive than it did on my old monitor. The OLED really makes the colors pop, the colors are deeper, and the entire picture is noticeably brighter and more detailed. Modern Warfare is where I really notice the refresh rate and responsiveness. Everything feels incredibly smooth, and because there is virtually no noticeable video lag, I actually feel like my aim is better and I can react faster. I also love the built-in reticle feature, which gives me an extra aiming point on screen and has been surprisingly useful. Between the brighter picture, incredible colors, smooth refresh rate, and gaming features like the reticle, this monitor has been a huge upgrade for both slower, immersive games like Palworld and fast-paced games like Modern Warfare.

This monitor is a huge step up from previous OLED displays I’ve owned. Right out of the box, the brightness is noticeably better, making it great even in well-lit rooms. The USB-C connectivity with power delivery is one of my favorite features, I can connect my work laptop with one cable, charge it, and switch back to personal use effortlessly. The build quality feels premium, the stand is sturdy, and the overall design is clean. Text clarity is much improved over older QD-OLEDs, with color fringing essentially gone, making it fantastic for productivity and gaming alike. Now, I personally prefer a glossy finish. Though not necessary for most, I carefully removed the matte anti-glare coating to achieve that glossy depth I love. Even before this personal mod, I’d rate it a solid 8/10. With the change (which I wouldn’t recommend to everyone), it hit a 10/10 for me. Whether matte or glossy, this monitor offers outstanding brightness, connectivity, and overall quality, I highly recommend it!

I’ve been using the 27-inch Odyssey OLED G8 G80SH for gaming, and honestly, the picture quality is the first thing that stands out. The 4K resolution makes everything look incredibly sharp, while the OLED panel gives games really deep blacks and excellent contrast. Dark areas actually look dark instead of washed out, which makes a noticeable difference when playing at night. The colors also look fantastic. Games have a lot more depth and pop without looking completely unnatural. Motion is smooth, too, which is especially noticeable in fast-paced shooters where there’s a lot happening on screen. I also really like the 27-inch size. It gives you plenty of screen space while still feeling comfortable on a normal-sized desk. The monitor looks sleek without taking over the entire setup. My biggest complaint would probably be that OLED panels require a little more care than a standard monitor, particularly if you're someone who leaves the same static windows or HUD elements on the screen for hours. It’s also not exactly a budget monitor. Overall, though, if gaming and picture quality are your priorities, the Odyssey OLED G8 G80SH is an impressive monitor. The combination of 4K resolution, OLED contrast, vibrant colors, and smooth gaming performance makes it feel like a serious upgrade from a typical LCD gaming monitor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Set up of this monitor was extremely easy, you turn it on for the first time and it gives you a QR code you can just scan to immediately register on your Samsung account. You don't have to manually enter anything as everything is pre-populated. On top of this, you even get a built in calibration report which tells you the picture accuracy of the monitor when calibrated in factory to be pantone verified. Mine had a DE of 2.5 which is very accurate for an out of the box measurement. I do wish however it would tell me which picture mode this was measured on. I didn't expect the anti glare coating to work so well. I came from an MiniLED monitor that could get very bright, so I had to increase the brightness of the monitor when it was bright out and decrease it when it was dark. With this monitor I do not have that issue, and it's down to it's abilitty to diffuse light naturally, something my old monitor lacked, despite being able to be brighter. On top of that, having already owned an OLED TV I did have some things that I expected, which didn't disappoint. The viewing angles are perfect (just look at the image), there's no problems with noticing any local dimming as pixels dim perfectly alone. The refresh rate of the monitor is crazy, not only that but the high refresh rate together with OLEDs near instant pixel response time makes motion blur non-existant. There's one downside, and that is that is a bit of a double edge sword with the comments I have made in the respect to the anit-glare. The anti-glare coating on the monitor is so effective that there is a visible grain on the panel which can be disracting at certain moments. A full white screen and you can kind of notice it, but you can get used to it easily. With small white text on a black background you can kind of see noise around the text because of it. However, this is minor, and the new RGB subpixel layout of the G80SH means text is super clear with no fringing around it, or around window borders. Gsync works flawlessly, and the monitor even has a mode to reduce the flickering induced by using any form of VRR if you need it, although the setting does increase input lag. If there was one thing I wish this monitor included that would be a light sensor, or some kind of auto wake/sleep tech like some other monitors have, so it falls asleep and wakes up as you use it automatically, apart from that I am extremely happy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 32” screen is huge. I almost thought it was bowed, but it’s just an optical illusion due to sitting so close. Gaming is very immersive. At 240 Hz, games feels great and the mouse movement on desktop is ultra smooth. The colors are excellent. The black levels are the most noticeable difference vs my IPS monitor. I no longer have to deal with IPS glow. With this QD-OLED, black is black - not dark grey. I don’t really notice any purple tinge, as reviews for previous year’s models noted. I tested the screen and found no dead pixels, banding, or dirty screen effect. The monitor has an anti-reflective matte coating. For me it’s very useful since there’s a window across the room. It does add some graininess, which is visible on light-colored backgrounds. This monitor does not have the new gen RGB V-stripe subpixel arrangement, which is supposed to improve text clarity. It has the previous gen triangular arrangement. There is green/pink color fringing on text if I look very closely, but I can’t really tell at normal distance. At 144 PPI, the text is still sharper than the 109 PPI of my 27” 1440p monitor. One new feature, only on the 32” model, is that it’s VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500. The previous year’s model was True Black 400. This upgrade should result in increased brightness and higher contrast. Also new to this model is a 98W USB-C port. I haven’t had a need for this feature yet, but it would be very useful if you want to connect your laptop to it. It also now supports DP 2.1. This has more bandwidth than DP 1.4, so it no longer has to rely on display stream compression (DSC) to push high resolution and framerates. It also has two HDMI 2.1 ports. One of each cable is included. Another change is there’s no TV OS. It’s strictly a monitor. There are no built-in speakers, but there is a headphone jack. The power button and menu are controlled by a jog button on the back. It appears to be the same jog mentioned in reviews of other models, which has cracked for some people. I just hope they have improved the material so that this doesn’t happen anymore. I do wish it was black instead of silver, though I don’t notice when I’m absorbed in a game. I also don’t like the big power brick, but I was able to hide it. The lighting on the back is cool, but you need it close to the wall to really shine. Overall I’m very impressed by the G80SH. Although it appears to be an incremental upgrade over last year’s model, this is the best monitor I’ve ever had.

At first glance the Samsung Odyssey G80SH looks like last generations Odyssey G8 but with the inclusion of the much requested Display Port 2.1 and USBC 98W connection. And if those were the only changes I would say they were a good upgrade from last year's Odyssey.. But there is so much more that I feel is flying under people's radar.. The first thing you might notice is full HDR500 certification instead of HDR400. This already tips you off that there's something new about the panel itself and not just new connections. The 2026 Samsung Odyssey G80sh (And all 2026 Samsung panels) use what they call Penta Tandem technology.. Which is a fancy way of saying they added a fifth layer of OLED emitters. Which might seem redundant but it's actually meaningful. The fifth layer allows for higher average brightness of 300 nits instead of last generation 2025 Odyssey G8's 250 nits. This gives the Odyssey G80sh a average brightness equal to WOLED monitors while maintaining QD's insane 99.5% color accuracy. TLDR, if you were choosing between QDOLED vs WOLED based on color accuracy vs average brightness, the Odyssey G80sh is a win win. Samsung also claims that the fifth layer of OLED emitters helps spread heat and increase the lifespan of the display against burn in despite the higher brightness making this one of in not the most burn in resistant OLED panel yet! And that's not even the end of it.. Samsung Gen 4 Penta Tandem QDOLED (Used here) feature V stripe sub pixel layout. Eliminating Text color fringing that is a common complaint with QD's. AND they use a blackout film similar to other brands. Samsung calls it "Quantum black" film, which sounds fancy. But it does the job. eliminating the commonly complained about purple/magenta hue that can be seen on other QD panels in bright rooms. Speaking of bright rooms this monitor is fantastic in them! Overhead light, open drapes. It doesn't really matter. Whatever Samsung is doing with their Odyssey "glare free" finish seems to hit a perfect sweet spot of clear image and no reflections. And the new 300 nit brightness and black film make this monitor look perfect in well lit rooms. It's no Livingroom TV levels of brightness, but for a 32"/27' PC monitor it's fantastic! Overall I feel like Samsung sort of quietly fixed all the issues people had with QDOLED's with this generation of panels and few people are really picking up on it. DOWNSIDES: Expensive.. I appreciate that it lands in the same price point as last generation's Odyssey G80, letting the G80sh be a straight upgrade at the same price. But it is still on the priciest end of QDOLED 4k monitors. Naming.. Finding the exact model and year that you want is a pain. There are SO many monitors that use the Odyssey naming, and you really do have to pay close attention to the specs. This is obviously true for most tech, but with Samsung monitors it feels extra tricky because they release several Odyssey G8's at a time.. Make sure you don't accidently end up with a older year or a 6k model.. Navigation button.. It feels kind of cheap at this price point, and at my desk it's a pain to twist my wrist around and try to navigate. Which is a shame because I frequently find myself dialing in picture settings from media to media. Refresh Rate.. It's hard to complain about 4K 240hz, and with the Display Port 2.1 the Odyssey G80sh is able to take full advantage of this combo with no compression. BUT it would still have been cool to see a refresh rate bump or even a duel mode at this price point. Overall I'm torn between 4 stars do solely to the price. And 5 stars do to the fact that Samsung really did fix virtually every issue that remained with QDOLED's.
